Fred Turley is a character in the Eden Pond Series.
Biography
Fred Turley worked as a truck driver and day laborer. He was known for his abrasive personality.
He was involved in a ring of thieves stealing tires and U.S. Army supplies up and down the coast during first months of World War II. Through this, he was linked to a scheme to steal land from Japanese resident aliens and Japanese-Americans. He was present when Harry Pond and Jonah Shibuya were taken by his fellow conspirators. He would subsequently break-in to the Pond house, only to be driven off by Eden Pond. Later still, his leg would be broken when he fell down a cliff fleeing from Eden Pond at the home of the Japanese oystermen of Bayocean.
