Pilchik is a location in Barlow County in the Melisende Dulac Series.

Located in a north Barlow County, Pilchik is a tiny unincorporated town at present consisting of a commercial fuel station, restaurant/lounge, feed store, grain elevator, and a few homes. Its name was derived from the Chinook Jargon.

“Pilchik,” Ariana says softly. “From pil-pil for blood and chik-chik for cart or wagon, sometimes wheel.” She inhales, exhales heavily. “Blood Wagon.”
