==Details==
The college was founded in 1905 as Barlow Agricultural School on the northeast ridge overlooking [[Samuelton]]. In the 1970s, it reorganized as a community college offering a range of two-year associates and vocational degrees. At that time, the Bouton family made a donation to the school to create a mortuary science program. Because the donation was made privately, at the family's request, it is not generally known the Bouton's had any hand in creating the program.

At the time of the events of ''[[Crossroad]]'', [[Barb Ellingson]] is a mathematics instructor at the college. [[Melisende Dulac]] entered the mortuary science program in the fall after the events of ''Crossroad'' and is nearing the end of her first year at the time of [[The Sheepshooter's Funeral]].
